About WMDMR-WMRA-Discuss
English (USA)

Welcome to WMDMR/WMRA!

WMDMR/WMRA is NOT a Radio club. The White Mountains DMR Group is an affiliation of licensed operators with an interest in Digital Mobile Radio (DMR). The mission and focus of the group is to provide linked DMR and analog repeaters as well as packet radio for interconnection to the internet to meet the challenges of local communication with amateur radio in the mountainous terrain of Arizona’s White Mountains.

Even though, the repeaters are primarily dedicated to DMR, we also believe that analog modes will be in use for several decades to come and believe that DMR is a great complement to analog. The group maintains several UHF and VHF voice repeaters, Digipeaters and analog remote bases, hence the WMRA - White Mountains Repeater Affiliates - to include the owners of analog repeaters.

The primary repeaters are located on Greens Peak, in Apache County, and Porter Mountain, in Lakeside, with lower-elevation repeaters in Concho, Show Low Park, Pinedale and in Holbrook. Where internet is available, these repeaters are linked among themselves and beyond via Brandmeister. Analog connection to the system is by link ports to DMR by the local repeater.
